US HR Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

A member of the senior leadership team managing all facets of human resources including but not limited to recruiting, benefit design, compensation administration including payroll, employee relations, performance management and legal compliance. This position has opportunity for growth to the Global Human Resources Director.

Essential Functions:

Leads the development and implementation of employee policies and procedures; maintains handbook policies and procedures.
Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding; Keeps job descriptions up to date, accurate and compliant with relevant federal, state and local laws for all positions.
Manages bi-weekly payroll processing
Administers performance review management program
Handles investigations and resolutions of employee issues, concerns and conflicts
Ensures compliance with all laws and regulatory activities such as EEO, AAP, USERRA, ADA, ERISA, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, FMLA and FLSA.
Administers benefit programs such as health, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, 401K, and leaves of absences. Serves as ACA and COBRA Administrator for company.
Develops department goals and objectives.
Manages the Human Resources Generalist and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the department.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
Ten years direct experience in the field of human resources, personnel administration and/or benefits.
Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employee law.
Demonstrate understanding of payroll requirements and regulations, tax directives, applicable laws, and other related standards. Experience with Paychex Flex a plus
Previous experience with filing of the EEO-1 Survey
Previous experience with compliance of Affirmative Action Plans
Computer knowledgeable including all MS Office applications. Advanced knowledge of Excel a plus
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to build rapport with all employees
Capable of working independently and developing procedures and implementing change.
Ability to comprehend and follow ISO procedures and processes relating to job performance and quality.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate information and ideas. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and reach. Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
