3D Materials & Binders

Our systems process a wide range of powder materials, from foundry-grade silica and ceramic sand to reclaimed waste stream material. ExOne partners with manufacturers, designers, and architects to optimize their application for additive manufacturing 2.0

Flexible 3D Printing Production

ExOne binder jet 3D printing uses foundry grade sand and binder to create metalcasting molds and cores or other complex designs made into  durable end-use parts with resin infiltration. The combination of print media and binder is tailored to individual the individual application. ExOne 3D printers handle a variety of sandcasting materials including silica and ceramic sands. The material flexibility of binder jetting also enables new innovations like 3D printing with reclaimed concrete and upcycled wood waste stream materials

The list of binders below are available to cast a variety of alloys from aluminum and magnesium to iron and steel and ExOne can help you select the combination to provide the optimal surface quality and strength for your castings. Together with industry-leading partners, we are continuously working on the next generation of binders to support further manufacturing innovation.
